Need-based Scholarships

Need-based scholarships are available to eligible families throughout the year. Need-based scholarships vary in amounts – depending on your financial eligibility and the availability of funds. Unfortunately, we do not have sufficient funds to help every family who qualifies for need-based assistance.

In order to assess a family’s financial need, KidsArts follows the guidelines set up by the City of Boston HUD’s median income chart. We will only consider scholarships for families who have an adjusted gross income that falls below the 80% median income bracket.

KidsArts requires a copy of your latest 1040 Income Tax Form or equivalent information to verify your income once per year. Submit documentation once per year with the scholarship application to substantiate your income level. The information requested is confidential and is necessary to help determine the degree of need for each applicant. Scholarships will be denied without documentation once per year.

Apply

Please submit your application by February 1st, 2015 to allow your application to be processed by the start of Session 3 on March 1st. Due to limited funding not all eligible requests will be approved. If a scholarship is granted and a family leaves the program for any reason their scholarship will be forfeited. They may reapply should they choose to.
